The last month has been a bit crazy, with me starting a 4 week internship at a place called the Institut for (X), which is a place for culturel events and projects in Aarhus, and at same time trying to find a place to live. Deciding whether or not to move into my own flat, or go ahead with my plans about going to London in the fall. I am having a difficult time deciding on what to do, since I know I would like to do both, which is diffently not possibly at the same time, but I am not sure what will be the most sensible thing to do. I hate having to decide things according to what is sensible, but I guess its time to grow up, and do the grown up thing for once.
The summer has been really good so far this year. I love Denmark, when the weather is like this, I see no need to go abroad right now. At the same time, I am kind of looking forward to winter approaching, which to me means cuddling up with a book, a cup of tea and a blanket. On the downside, it also means a horrible cold, which I am not to keen on… oh well, you gotta have something to complain about right?:)
I just finished a book called The dressmaker of Khair Khana, which is about a women starting a dressmaking business in Afghanisatan during the Taliban years. A truely amazing and inspiring book, which I highly recommend. The women in question, Kamila Sidiqi is a good representation of the amazing things that the Afghan women are able to do in their country, and is a very good reminder for me when I become to self absobed with my own problems. At the same time it shows that everything is possible, if we only dare to dream big:)
